CARE LOAN FUND PROGRAM

The CARE Loan Fund Program is designed to help disabled Nevadans gain funding to

purchase items that will allow them to continue to be or become independent.  The program

offers loans through Nevada State Bank at a preferred interest rate, using standard loan approval

guidelines with special considerations due to a person's disability.  Applications can be completed

over the phone or can be mailed to applicants.  Proof of disability, income, rent or mortgage, and

a copy of a NV ID are required.

Guidelines

• Must be a Nevada resident
• Must have a disability or be the family member or guardian of someone with a disability
• Debt to income ratio cannot exceed 55% (All monthly debt plus the new loan payment divided by monthly gross income
• No bankruptcies in the last 60 Months (5 years) unless it is due to the disability
• Loan proceeds must be used to purchase Assistive Technology: NO refinancing of existing loans are allowed

Examples of Assistive Technology

• Modified vehicles
• Home modifications
• Electric wheelchairs or scooters
• Specialized computers and/or software
• Or anything that makes living with a disability easier
